Gulf Coast Boardwalk is a pier park with a past, not a pastiche. Fox took a historic boardwalk and kept the job: wood over water, a wheel on the pier, a coaster that uses the surf. Paradise Inn, Orbit Rooms, and the Satellite Motel sit a walk away — three mid-century motels restored with heated pools and an arcade. Barbeque Blue handles the smoke and the music.
